Top Cuvée of the Maison Pol Roger, this Champagne is a blend constructed mostly from Pinot Noir and in the minority from Chardonnay and enjoys a fame among enthusiasts and producers that precedes it; considered among the longest-lived samples in the world, this Champagne ages for almost 10 years on the yeasts and its name pays homage to the famous English Prime Minister, a great enthusiast of Pol Roger wines who loved to say about himself 'my tastes are simple, I am easily satisfied of the best'. The grapes come exclusively from vineyards classified as Grand Cru, already present at the time of Churchill and this wonderful Cuvée, whose exact blend is a secret jealously guarded by the family, fully embodies the spirit of the man who inspired it: maturity, robustness and kindness. For those lucky enough to taste it it will be a surprise, or rather, a revelation.

Intense straw yellow color with emerald reflections, the nose is surprising with its freshness and liveliness, completely out of context if you think of its age! Brazenly fruity in notes of lemon and lime, it then leaves room for turmeric and bergamot, chalk and powder, deep notes of resin and pungent notes of gunpowder. The enchantment continues upon tasting, soft, silky, thirst-quenching, with a continuous drinking pleasure, very fresh, savoury, important and broad in olfactory returns but perfectly accessible. Its power can be felt right down to the last bubble, without ever tiring and leaving an important time window open from which, we are certain, in a few years we will be able to enjoy a sublime panorama.
